The Slingerland 1955–1959 bronze (brass) oval badge maple snare drum is a highly collectible vintage instrument from the "Chicago era" of Slingerland production. Drums from this specific time frame feature the iconic Chicago, Ill. embossed brass oval badge (often referred to as the bronze/brass oval badge), which uniquely lacked a serial number and preceded the black/gold and silver/black oval badges of the 1960s. During this era, Slingerland constructed their premier wood snare drums using a 3-ply solid maple shell (or maple/poplar/mahogany blend) with solid maple reinforcement rings, giving them a warm, deep, and classic resonant tone.

This is a Bronze (brass) oval Chicago Badge Slingerland maple snare drum with Rogers hardware. It has modified hardware holes (as seen in the pics) from when the Rogers hardware was installed.

Sounds amazing! Looks beautiful!
