Few electric guitars invite a player to interact with the instrument quite like the Epiphone Casino, a fully hollow thinline whose lively response has helped make it a rock 'n' roll icon since its introduction in 1961. Its history is intertwined with generations of influential musicians, including all three guitar-playing Beatles, Keith Richards, Howlin' Wolf, Dave Davies, Paul Weller, Noel Gallagher, Gary Clark Jr., and many others who found something distinctive in its combination of acoustic resonance and P-90 bite.

The Casino's fully hollow five-ply maple/poplar construction is central to both its sound and personality. Unplugged, it has enough natural resonance to make casual practice, songwriting, and couch playing genuinely enjoyable; through an amplifier, that same responsive body adds air, dimension, and an almost tactile quality to the notes. Its pair of Dogear P-90 pickups can move from articulate cleans and jangling rhythm sounds to raspy blues textures, gritty rock chords, and snarling overdrive. At higher gain and volume, the hollow body can also interact with an amplifier to create controlled feedback and singing sustain, giving an experienced player an expressive tool that behaves differently from a solidbody guitar.

That range has allowed the Casino to find a home in rock, blues, Americana, British Invasion-style pop, country, jazz, indie, and roots music rather than becoming tied to a single era or genre. The glued-in mahogany neck, rosewood fingerboard, and comfortable C-shaped profile complement the lightweight hollow construction, while the LockTone Tune-O-Matic bridge and trapeze tailpiece maintain the traditional architecture behind the model's character. With its parallelogram inlays, Dovewing headstock, nickel hardware, and unmistakable Casino silhouette, this is a guitar that carries more than six decades of musical history while remaining a practical and expressive instrument for creating something new. Available now at Haggerty’s Music, this 2026 Casino dresses that enduring formula in a classic Vintage Sunburst finish and ships with a reliable gig bag.
