Some instruments fit neatly into familiar categories. The Squier Paranormal Electric VI electric guitar was built to blur the lines. Inspired by Fender's history of unconventional designs, this Paranormal Series model combines Electric XII-inspired styling, a comfortable six-string playing experience and a pair of Fender-Designed Alnico Split-Coil "VI" pickups wound specifically for guitar applications. A unique 4-position rotary switch unlocks individual pickup voices, in-phase combinations and distinctive out-of-phase textures, giving players access to sounds that range from articulate and focused to rich, atmospheric and unexpected. Available in Daphne Blue and 3-Color Sunburst finishes, each paired with a matching headstock, the Electric VI delivers distinctive styling, creative tonal flexibility and a fresh perspective on classic Fender innovation.
Split-Coil VI Pickups Deliver Distinctive Guitar Voices
Equipped with a pair of Fender-Designed Alnico Split-Coil "VI" pickups wound to guitar specifications, the Electric VI produces articulate tones with exceptional clarity, punch and character. Whether used for clean rhythm work, overdriven lead lines or atmospheric textures, the pickups provide a unique sonic foundation that stands apart from traditional single-coil and humbucking designs. The result is a voice that feels familiar enough to navigate easily while offering plenty of room for exploration.
Rotary Switching Unlocks Expanded Tonal Possibilities
A distinctive 4-position rotary switch gives players access to an unusually broad range of sounds. Pickup selections include the bridge pickup alone, neck pickup alone, both pickups in phase and both pickups out of phase. This versatile switching system makes it easy to move between focused single-pickup tones, fuller dual-pickup sounds and uniquely expressive out-of-phase textures, creating an instrument that rewards experimentation and creative playing approaches.
Comfortable Guitar Feel With Premium Appointments
Unlike many offset instruments that employ longer scale lengths, the Electric VI uses a comfortable 24.75" scale that feels immediately familiar to most guitar players. A slim "C"-shaped maple neck, bound Indian laurel fingerboard, pearloid block inlays and 21 narrow tall frets provide a comfortable playing experience across the entire neck. Whether you're transitioning from a traditional electric guitar or exploring new sonic territory, the Electric VI remains approachable and easy to navigate.
Floating Mustang Tremolo for Expressive Performance
A vintage-style floating Mustang tremolo system adds another layer of expression, allowing players to introduce subtle movement, shimmering vibrato and dramatic pitch effects into their performances. Paired with vintage-style tuning machines, the hardware package balances classic Fender-inspired aesthetics with dependable performance, making the Electric VI equally at home in the studio, rehearsal room or on stage.
A Paranormal Instrument Built for Creative Exploration
With its Electric XII-inspired styling, Bass VI-influenced body shape, Coronado-inspired headstock and uniquely flexible electronics, the Squier Paranormal Electric VI embraces Fender's tradition of experimentation while forging its own identity. Its combination of unconventional design, versatile switching options and familiar six-string playability makes it an ideal choice for players seeking fresh sounds without abandoning familiar techniques. For musicians who view creativity as a destination rather than a detour, the Paranormal Electric VI offers one of the most distinctive instruments in the entire Paranormal lineup.
