Slingerland 8 x 12 blue sparkle tom date stamped May 1961. This was part of a set of May 1961 drums that, although manufactured after Slingerland’s move to Niles, was made using the Chicago era specs. Therefore it has neither badge nor vent hole (the set it came from only had the Chicago badge on the bass and snare). It also doesn’t have a tone control.
Mahogany 3-ply shell with maple reinforcing rings and COB hoops.
The drum is very clean with the second photo show the only minor smudge I’ve found. It’s been completely disassembled and cleaned. Still has the wool/felt wraps on the lug casing springs.
Price includes ground shipping within the continental US.
