Serial number 834522 places this drum in the early Blue & Olive badge period. Ludwig introduced the Blue & Olive badge in late 1969, replacing the familiar Keystone badge. According to Ludwigs serial number dating this drum is circa 1969.
The drum features Ludwig's chrome-plated seamless aluminum "Ludalloy" shell, 10 Imperial lugs, triple-flanged hoops, internal tone control, and the unmistakable sound that made the LM400 one of the most recorded and widely used snare drums of all time.
