EQ

TONE SCULPTOR

Product Description

A graphic EQ with Nutube in the preamp for musical distortion

The Tone Sculptor is a graphic EQ designed for shaping guitar tone, with frequency ranges and bandwidths suited to the instrument. Nutube in the preamp adds distinctive tube harmonics and compression as you raise the level.

Six frequency bands—100 Hz, 250 Hz, 570 Hz, 800 Hz, 2.2 kHz, and 5.6 kHz—make it easy to shape your tone. The bands have a broader bandwidth than those of a typical graphic EQ, making them effective for active tone shaping.

Use it to move easily between backing and solo sounds or to make overall tonal adjustments. Raising the level brings in musical distortion from the Nutube-equipped preamp. The controls have no center detent, allowing for precise adjustments.

For clean arpeggios, reduce the low end and raise the high end to help each string ring out clearly. Boost the mids to bring out solo articulation, or shape them for a sharper sound in heavy backing. The versatile EQ makes a wide range of tones possible.

Valvenergy 2nd Series

Four models join the Valvenergy series, a line of pedals designed to deliver a response reminiscent of a tube amp.

Each model features next-generation Nutube. The lineup includes the Power Burst booster, Smooth Impact tube compressor, Fuel Injector overdrive, and Tone Sculptor graphic EQ—a versatile set of essential effects for guitarists.

These pedals are designed to bring out the character of the guitar, effects, and amp used before or after them. Their simple, natural response makes them easy to keep in your setup and enjoyable to play.

Newly Developed Buffer Circuit

A high-quality buffer at the input stage is essential to make the most of Nutube’s potential. VOX designed a dedicated buffer circuit for this purpose.

With the effect off, the circuit operates as a buffered bypass. It is designed to provide a natural response and light feel, similar to plugging a 3-meter instrument cable directly into an amp.

With the effect on, the buffer works together with Nutube’s distinctive compression for a light, responsive playing feel and added expressive nuance.

Sound-Inspired Etched Design

The new enclosure features an etched design on the top panel, inspired by the individual sound of each pedal.

The Valvenergy series’ organic design adds a distinctive visual touch to your pedalboard.
