This is a Matthews Effects The Architect The Architect Foundational Overdrive/Boost V3 pedal in excellent condition. Clean velcro on bottom so pedal-board-ready. Listing is for pedal only and works perfectly. The Matthews Effects Architect is a refined take on a legendary 1990s-era overdrive. And we do mean legendary — its transparent sound is mythical. The Architect takes that fabled tone and pairs it with an active 3-band EQ. That alone gives you major sound-sculpting power. But this overdrive pedal doesn’t stop there. You also get three clipping modes, enabling a multitude of sonic textures. What’s more, an independent boost channel allows you to slam the front end of your amp with one of two distinct tonal colorations. Clean boost or earth-shaking gain — the Architect handles both with aplomb, along with everything in between. If you can’t find your dream overdrive tone in this stompbox, look again — it’s in there.
