For sale is my 1959 Gibson J-160E, a very well kept example from the 179 shipped that year, this guitar is crack-free and 100% functional. The body shows some scratches, dings, and checking. The back of the neck shows some dings and scratches. The FON is S1913 3, the S prefix dating the guitar to 1959.
The tuners have been replaced with modern Kluson Deluxe Single-Rings, the originals are still fully functional mechanically, however the buttons have shrunk, and one has crumbled. The saddle is a modern GraphTech, the original Porcelin saddle and metal base are included, I swaped these just as an experiment to see how a bone saddle who effect the sound, I quite like it, adds a touch more "body".
The P-90 is original, as are the knobs and potentiometers. The neck has never been reset, nor has the angle shifted as to warrant one. Original frets are in great shape and show plenty of life left. Original braces are intact and secure. The truss rod functions well, the neck is free from humps or warping, and the guitar is currently set up with 12s and low action after a visit to the luthier at Brian's Guitars, who gave it a clean bill of health.
Comes in the original Lifton Hardshell case. Any questions please feel free to send me a message.
