The sE Electronics sE8 is a high-performance, handcrafted small-diaphragm true condenser microphone widely celebrated for its pristine sound quality, exceptionally flat frequency response, and competitive pricing. Often compared favorably to legendary industry standards like the Neumann KM84 but at a fraction of the cost, it features an ultra-thin 3-micron gold-sputtered diaphragm and transformerless Class-A circuitry. This design ensures brilliant transient response, a natural top end, and incredibly low self-noise (13 dB), making it a favorite for tracking acoustic guitars, drum overheads, pianos, and orchestral ensembles. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]
