The BOSS DS-1-4A is a limited-edition version of the classic DS-1 Distortion, released to celebrate 40 years of BOSS compact pedals.

It features the familiar DS-1 distortion circuit in a distinctive black-and-gold finish, making it appealing to both players and BOSS collectors.

Presented in Good Condition with visible cosmetic signs of previous pedalboard use. No power supply is included.

Classic DS-1 Distortion

The DS-1-4A retains the familiar attack, harmonic character and sustain associated with the standard DS-1.

It works particularly well for rock, alternative, punk, grunge and heavier guitar sounds.

Limited-Edition Black & Gold Finish

The 40th Anniversary version stands apart from the standard orange DS-1 with its black enclosure, gold graphics and gold-capped knobs.

This gives it added collector appeal while keeping the classic DS-1 control layout intact.

Fair Deal Music Verdict

The BOSS DS-1-4A 40th Anniversary is an appealing take on one of the most recognisable distortion pedals ever made.

It keeps the familiar Level, Tone and Distortion layout and classic DS-1 sound while adding a distinctive limited-edition black-and-gold finish.

Presented in Good Condition, this is a strong option for players and BOSS collectors looking for a less common version of the DS-1.
