For sale is my Yamaha Recording Custom 4-piece shell set in Solid Black, in excellent condition.

This kit has been used exclusively in my home recording studio and has never been gigged. When not in use, the drums are kept protected in cases. The shells, finish, hardware, and hoops have been very well cared for.

The Recording Custom is one of Yamaha’s most iconic professional drum lines, designed around a focused, articulate birch sound that records exceptionally well. This current-generation version of the Recording Custom features 6-ply North American birch shells, 30-degree bearing edges, and Yamaha’s redesigned weighted high-tension lugs, which contribute to the kit’s controlled response, clarity, and full low-frequency character.

Condition

Excellent. This is a studio-kept kit that has been carefully handled and stored in cases when not being played. It has not been subjected to the wear and tear of regular gigging, touring, or rehearsal-room use.

The Solid Black finish gives the kit a classic, understated look, while the 10”/12”/16”/22” configuration provides a particularly versatile setup for recording or live use.

I’m selling the kit as a complete four-piece shell set.

Please review the photos carefully for the exact cosmetic condition. I’m happy to answer reasonable questions about the drums or provide additional photos for a serious buyer.
