DESCRIPTION
This is a used Tama Imperialstar 9" deep x 12" diameter mounted tom with a Misty Chrome wrapped finish (possible this finish is called Platina?). Manufactured in China, likely in the late 70s or early 80s (badge serial number is six digits: 049890), this drum has been in storage in our bricks-and-mortar store for a number of years. It is fully functional and appears to be all original (lugs, backing screws, mounting bracket, hoops, and tension rods) with the exception of the heads, which are a gently used Evans clear G14 on the batter and a nearly-new clear EC Reso on the resonant side. The shell is in-round with no signs of warping or moisture exposure, and the interior is extremely clean. Expect to encounter typical age-appropropriate signs of handling and use including scuffs, scratches, and dings, minor rough spots on the bearing edges, and light discoloration/corrosion on most of the chrome. Note also that the wrap seam is slightly loose/bubbled in a couple of spots, primarily near the batter-side bearing edge. Check out our closeup pics for indicative examples of condition issues, and feel free to message us with any questions or to request additional photos.
