The MXR M195 Noise Clamp is a guitar effects pedal designed to eliminate unwanted hiss, hum, and excess noise from your signal chain, especially when using high-gain distortion, overdrive, or multiple effects pedals. It automatically reduces noise when you're not playing while allowing your guitar signal to come through when you play.

How it works

The Noise Clamp functions as both a noise-reduction unit and a noise gate. It senses your guitar's direct signal and uses that signal to control the noise level in its effects loop.

When you play, the gate opens so your notes and riffs can pass through. When you stop playing or your signal drops below the set threshold, it reduces the unwanted background noise.

It can reduce noise by up to 26 dB, helping keep a high-gain rig quieter between notes without sacrificing the definition of your playing.
