The AZ series was born as a new innovation from Ibanez Prestige.

Story of the “AZN”

The Ibanez AZ is a guitar developed to be adaptable to any performance scene, aimed at guitarists with a background in Rock/Metal/Fusion.

The AZ N has been added to the AZ family in 2021, further expanding the potential of the AZ and aimed at guitarists with a foundation in Blues/Jazz/Funk, as represented by the recently popular Neo Soul.

At first glance, it looks the same as the existing AZ, but from the pickups and hardware developed with the concept of “widely usable clean tone” and the fretboard that directly affects the playing feel, it is more than just a sibling model.

Once you hold the AZN and pluck the strings, you will surely notice the subtle but significant differences in the tone and playing feel.

・Rosewood compound radius fingerboard (nut 228mmR - fingerboard end 305mmR)

・Fortuna pickups developed in collaboration with Seymour Duncan. A newly developed pickup with less output than the Hyperion to achieve a more nuanced tone.

・Gotoh® T1702B tremolo bridge with brass saddles mounted in a non-recessed cavity.

・AZ-exclusive Oval C-shaped S-TECH WOOD roasted maple neck.

・Stainless steel frets.

・Luminlay fingerboard side dots and positions for phosphorescent lighting.

・Super All Access neck joint, AZ-exclusive body contour.

・In combination with the alter switch, dynaMIX 9 (Dynamics 9 Switching System) creates nine different sound variations, including a mode that wires two single coil pickups in series.

-Gotoh® Magnum Lock machine heads with H.A.P. function that allows you to adjust the height of the post.

-Bone nut.
