2002 Fender USA Toronado in Butterscotch Blonde (Made in America)

Incredibly cool and quite rare 2002 Fender USA DVII Toronado in original Butterscotch Blonde transparent finish. This model shares similarities to the MIM Toronado of that era but with nicer features, a stop tailpiece and a set of soap-bar Black Dove p90 pickups. Weight = 7lbs, 10oz. Comes with G&G USA black hard case.

Condition
Overall very good condition. I've shown in pics some scuffing on the back and some marks around the edges, but still looks great. Frets in very good condition. All electronics work well. No issues.

Sound & Playability
This guitar has been well cared for and it plays great all over the neck. The neck is a comfortable C shape with a smooth satin finish on back. Has a rare 24.75" scale length and 9.5" radius. Alder body, maple neck, rosewood board w/ abalone dots. The DE-9000 Black Dove pickups sound like p90s and are controlled by a 3-way switch and Vol/Tone controls. These have a rare contour neck heel, adjusto-matic bridge, and Micro-Tilt neck adjustment.

Produced from 2002-2004, the Toronado DVII featured the unique sound of two DE-9000 Black Dove single-coil pickups combined with a shorter 24.75" scale length. Other features included a modern "C" shaped neck with Micro-Tilt adjustment and contoured heel, Rosewood Fingerboard and Adjusto-Matic bridge with anchored tailpiece, and side mounted output jack.

Guitar Setup
Setup includes new strings (9s or 10s depending on what the nut is cut for), overall polish, clean and oil fingerboard. We spray out any pots that are noisy, turn the truss rod (if necessary) and set string height at low-to-medium action depending on string buzz present. We do a basic setup since setup is highly subjective you may want to get it set to your particular needs by your personal luthier anyway. Thanks!
