Released a few years ago as a Limited Edition in the amazing Swirl finish. And demand for the Swirl finish was so high that Dingwall decided to produce another small run of NG basses in this fantastic Blue Fade Swirl finish. Don’t miss out!
The Combustion NG is part of Dingwall’s “ready to play” or “built in China, finalized in Canada” series. It’s the affordable version of their Custom Shop instruments and—regardless of where it’s made—a truly beautiful piece of work. And yes, it’s great for metal (as the connection with Periphery’s bassist/producer Nolly Getgood implies), but the NG can do much more than just that. The low end of these basses—like that of any Dingwall, for that matter—is incredibly tight, and the frequency range is super wide. This is largely thanks to the multi-scale design and the Darkglass preamp. Any studio or FOH engineer will love this bass, too!
The Combustions NGs are available with two or three Dingwall FD-3N pickups. The two-pickup configurations can be set up as a humbucker (side-by-side) or as a Jazz Bass (like Dingwall’s Super-J). The fingerboard is always made of maple, and the body is made of alder. You can get your NG with 4, 5, or 6 strings and in a variety of awesome solid-color finishes
The bass comes with a deluxe Dingwall gig bag.
