The LA-2A Studio Compressor is a pedal inspired by the legendary Teletronix LA-2A tube-driven optical studio compressor, which has been used on countless recordings since the 1960s. It recreates its smooth, musical compression and the warmth of its preamp stage, adding body, sustain and improved dynamic consistency without overly squashing your playing. It features Peak to adjust the amount of compression, Gain to control the output level of the compressed signal, and Dry Mix to blend the original signal with the processed sound. A Comp/Limit selector and a Stock/Fast switch allow you to tailor the compressor's response. Particularly well suited to bass, clean guitars, arpeggios and solos, it can also thicken your tone and add warmth even with subtle compression settings. With switchable true or buffered bypass, it brings the character of a studio classic to a compact pedalboard-friendly format.
