FOR SALE: Yamaha SD-493 Brass 3.5"x14" Piccolo snare drum, circa 1990. This drum lived in a studio in Canada for most of its life, and most recently is in New York City. The shell shows a lot of cosmetic wear, but the drum itself is one of the best snare drums I have ever heard and still sings beautifuly with a nice crack at higher tunings. It's surprising how well this drum covers a massive tuning range, from very low and 'thuddy' to very high and cracking. THE VIDEO LINKED IS NOT THIS EXACT DRUM, but is a great representation of what I'm talking about here as far as the tuning range goes.

I am including a vintage hard-shell square drum case for this drum as well. I recently put new drumheads on the drum, Coated Ambassador on top and Clear Snare-Side Ambassdor on bottom. The batter head just has some lighter playing marks.
