By installing the Gibson 490R/498T combination into the SG model, you recreate the exact electronic design of the highly sought-after Gibson SG Standard models from the 1990s and 2000s.

Balance: The naturally lively, midrange-rich acoustic tone of the SG’s thin mahogany body serves as the perfect canvas for the high-output 498T bridge pickup.

It features a replica of a 1960s Gibson neck (slim taper), including diamond inlays—a feature unique to Gibson Custom models—and an open-book-style end cap. The white binding around the neck is also characteristic of Gibson’s high-end line, which is why this Epiphone model is labeled “Inspired by Gibson.”

Why am I selling it if it's so good?

Since I bought a genuine Gibson LP Custom, I'm selling this Epiphone SG. I simply have too many guitars in my collection, so I'm clearing out some space.
