The Fender American Professional Stratocaster HSS Rosewood in Oxblood marks a fresh chapter in Fender's modern professional lineup. You've seen the original American Professional, the American Professional II, and the American Professional Classic. This refreshed American Professional Series brings expanded versatility through its new V-Mod III humbucker, which can split to a calibrated single-coil voice at the push of a button. Tighter-tolerance controls and treble bleed help preserve clarity across the volume range, giving the HSS layout even more flexibility without sacrificing the feel and response players expect from a Stratocaster. It also includes a cold-rolled steel block for the two point trem with redesigned saddles that keep adjustment screws from protruding into the picking hand. The deep Oxblood finish, black pickguard, aged white plastics, and rosewood fingerboard give this version a darker look, while the HSS electronics make it especially useful for players covering everything from clean rhythm parts to aggressive overdriven tones.

The Deep "C" maple neck features rolled fingerboard edges, a 9.5" radius, and Fender's "Super-Natural" satin urethane finish for a smooth feel that stays comfortable through long sessions. A sculpted neck heel improves access higher up the fingerboard, while 22 narrow tall frets provide an easy balance for chords, bends, and lead work. V-Mod III single-coils retain the familiar Strat clarity and chime in the neck and middle positions, while the V-Mod III bridge humbucker brings more punch and weight when the music calls for it, along with access to calibrated single-coil sounds.

The upgraded two-point tremolo uses a cold-rolled steel block and ClassicGear Radial bent-steel saddles for responsive pitch control and easy action and intonation adjustment. Fender staggered sealed tuners, a bone nut, and Micro-Tilt neck adjustment help keep the guitar stable and easy to maintain. We think the Oxblood HSS is an excellent choice for players who want a professional Strat with a little more visual attitude and a wider tonal range than a traditional SSS setup.
