This is an all original 1965 Fender Stratocaster that I am selling for the current (2nd) owner. I was asked to evaluate this instrument for resale. He purchased it used from Greco Music in 1974 from Greco Music in Oswego NY. He stated that he has never replaced or repaired anything on this instrument and that it has been stored under his bed unstrung for at least 20 years.

The stamped neck date is Aug. 1965. The serial # is L91417. The pot codes read: 304-6532.

As the guitar was stored unstrung there is understandably some string buzz on the lower frets 1-9 with a set of .010s and truss rod is loosened all the way. It is not choking out, but some fret noise is apparent. String height is 5/64” @ 12th fret with no choking out when string bending! As a repairman I feel that if the neck were to be heat treated and refretted that the neck could be made to play perfectly.

There is some fretboard wear most noticeably between 1 & 6th frets and some fret wear on frets 1-4 under G, B & E strings. Otherwise frets are in very good condition.

Comes with original case which is in very good condition.

Overall finish is in very good condition with minor chips/scratches and buckle wear on back.

An excellent example of a completely all original vintage Stratocaster!
