A 1997 Jimmy Page Signature Les Paul has just arrived!
This signature model, produced from 1995 to 1999, is based on the 1959 (or 1958) Les Paul?commonly known as gNo. 1h?that was cherished by Led Zeppelin guitarist Jimmy Page!
While Les Pauls from the late 1950s typically feature a solid, thick neck shape, this model faithfully reproduces the unique reshaped neck?said to have been present on Pagefs gNo. 1h from the moment he acquired it?based on the actual instrument.
Furthermore, it incorporates custom electronics that reflect the wiring modifications Page himself made in the 1990s, enabling a wide variety of sound variations?it was crafted with specifications that strongly evoke his beloved instrument from that era.
It features the classic Les Paul construction with a maple top and mahogany back, along with a rosewood fingerboard and gold hardware.
The original model features push/pull functionality on all four controls, allowing for a wide range of sound shaping options?including coil tapping, phase reversal, and series/parallel switching?which is one of this modelfs key attractions.
This is a modified instrument that has undergone overall aging treatment and parts replacement.
The finish has peeled off in some areas of the body, and the body and headstock feature crack effects, while various parts have been aged to recreate dents and signs of wear.
As a result, it is difficult to distinguish these marks from actual wear and tear accumulated over the years.
The pickguard has been replaced, and the metal parts show general signs of wear, with some noticeable tarnish.
The strap pins have been replaced with locking pins, but the strap hardware and original strap pins are not included.
This instrument also features meticulously crafted modifications to its electronic components.
It is equipped with the gMR. JIMMY PU Ver. 12h signature pickup, jointly developed by Grinning Dog and Jimmy Sakurai.
This model focuses on the live sound of Led Zeppelin from around 1972 to 1973, pursuing and reproducing that tone.
The assembly has been replaced with an Emerson unit, and the electronics installed are believed to be the gJimmy Page Wiring Kit,h which reproduces the special gNo. 1h wiring.
In addition to the original pickups and assembly, the guitar comes with an original pickguard bearing Jimmy Pagefs autograph.
Although this instrument has undergone significant modifications from the original, it delivers the ultimate Page sound and playing feel!
This model has become increasingly rare on the market in recent years.
If youfve been searching for one, please be sure to consider this opportunity.
