Fender American Standard Stratocaster from 1995. This was part of a limited custom color run of stratocasters produced by Fender in 1995 and recognizable by their painted peghead that matches the body finish. While these models originally shipped from the factory with a white or parchment pickguard, this particular guitar has been beautifully upgraded with a brown tortoise shell pickguard, giving it a distinct and premium look.
Other mods include
- Modifications
- Pickups: switched out for very early Seymour Duncan Antiquities (hand wound by SD in his custom shop) - original pickups not available
- Tuners: replaced with Fender (Sperzel) locking tuners
- Nut: replaced with bone nut
- Electronics: switch replaced with Fender Strat/Tele 5-Way Super Switch for Tele/Humbucking options when bridge tone knob pull-switch engaged
- Pick guard/Backplate: both Mint Green versions replaced with genuine Fender tortoiseshell versions
- Vol/Tone knobs and Pickup selector switch: replaced with aged versions (originals in case)
- Trem Block: replaced with Callaham Guitars cold-rolled US steel block for enhanced sustain and tone
