NDG Unplayed Condition
At Nick's Drum Gear, unplayed means the cymbal has never been owned or played by an end user. Many of our cymbals originate from factory cymbal packs, giving them a known history from day one. Because they do not include a manufacturer's warranty, they are represented as unplayed rather than new.

📝 Note on Brilliant-Finish Cymbals

Brilliant-finish cymbals are polished and buffed to achieve their reflective appearance. As a result, fingerprints, light handling marks, polishing swirls, finish variation, and minor factory handling evidence may be visible under direct lighting or close inspection. These cosmetic characteristics are common on brilliant-finish cymbals and do not affect performance, structural integrity, or sound quality.

Special limited-edition ride cymbal commemorating 20 years of A Custom brilliance — featuring a cream-white logo, unique anniversary trademark, and the signature blend of clarity, shimmer, and balance that defines the A Custom sound.

🎼 Genre Match

• Rock / Pop / CCM ⭐⭐⭐⭐☆
→ Articulate ride definition, bright bell for clarity in modern worship and pop rock.
• Latin / Funk / Fusion ⭐⭐⭐⭐☆
→ The loud bell is ideal for clave-based patterns, while the body stays responsive for syncopation and ghost-note textures.
• Jazz / Indie / Experimental ⭐⭐⭐☆☆
→ Not as dry as jazz players might prefer, but its wash and shimmer lend character to modern or eclectic styles.
• R&B / Gospel / Hip-Hop ⭐⭐⭐⭐☆
→ Great stick attack and bell clarity for pocket grooves, loops, and syncopated hi-hat-to-ride transitions.
• Metal / Prog / Hardcore ⭐⭐⭐☆☆
→ Can cut through in lighter metal genres, but not as heavy or sharp as dedicated metal rides. Better suited for technical or melodic prog.
