Reverend Warhawk RT – Metallic Alpine Green – Excellent Condition
For players who appreciate distinctive guitars and are looking for outstanding quality at an attractive price!
I bought this beautiful-sounding, exceptionally well-made guitar new in 2018 from Woodstock Guitars in Aarhus, Denmark. Back then, Reverend was still relatively unknown in Hungary, but the brand has since been gaining popularity throughout Europe.
Reverend is an American brand. Its guitars are designed in the USA, where they also receive their final setup, finishing touches and the iconic serial number bearing the initials of the main setup guru and QA manager, Zack Scott Green (ZSG).
Production takes place at the highly regarded Mirr Music factory in Korea, which allows Reverend to offer outstanding quality at a more accessible price point.
The company develops its own custom pickups, and much of the hardware is either custom-designed or carefully selected to meet its high standards.
On this particular guitar, for example, the licensed Bigsby vibrato is paired with a custom roller bridge. The rollers allow the strings to move smoothly across the bridge during vibrato use, reducing friction and helping maintain tuning stability. Combined with the locking tuners, this makes for a very reliable setup.
Signature Reverend Features
Almost every Reverend guitar features the brand's signature Bass Contour control. This clever little knob reduces the bass response of the pickups, allowing you to shape their character considerably. Turn it down for a tighter, more single-coil-like response, or use it to clean up a darker-sounding amp and give the higher frequencies more room to breathe. It's an exceptionally versatile control that can transform the sound of the pickups at different settings.
The pickups are Reverend's own Revtrons, their take on the classic Gretsch Filter'Tron concept. These are low-output, clear and relatively bright humbuckers with excellent string definition. They take drive and overdrive beautifully while retaining the clarity and separation of individual notes.

Condition
The guitar has only ever been played at home and has always been treated with great care. It has no scratches on the body; there may be only the faintest signs of use on the pickguard. Overall, it is in excellent, near-mint, factory-original condition.
It is well maintained, perfectly set up and exceptionally comfortable to play.
The Warhawk RT has been discontinued and is no longer part of Reverend's current lineup, having effectively been replaced by simpler models. This makes it a particularly interesting option for anyone looking for a distinctive Reverend design that is no longer in production.
A superbly built, great-sounding and highly versatile instrument that offers a lot of guitar for the money.
A premium gig bag can be included with the guitar to ensure safe storage and transport.
