Fender OPB-51 US Reissue Bass (Original Precision Bass 1951), Sunburst finish, made in Japan in 2000.
A rare model on the market; few were produced and only for a short time—almost impossible to find, even in Japan. Even rarer is the body wood: while most from this period feature alder, this one has a dense ash body selected by Japanese luthiers for its excellent resonance and sustain.
*Hand-selected and imported from Japan by us*
Very good overall condition, including the frets (rated 8/10); shows some signs of use, minor finish touch-ups, etc. (see photos for details).
Tonally, it is perfect for pop/rock. It has a very distinctive character—we love it. Played with a pick and the tone knob rolled back halfway... wow, it is absolutely top-notch and really packs a punch.
