For your consideration, a modified dbx 163x in good working condition.
VCA chip has been replaced with THAT chip, capacitors in audio path upgraded to WIMA caps, and power supply electrolytic capacitor upgrades: C28 & C29 changed to 2200uF 35v, C30 & C31 changed to 100uF 50v, and C32 & C33 changed to 10uF 50v.
This results in a more “hifi” sounding compressor compared to the original. Sounds great, loved having in my rack but I must downsize.
