About this particular guitar

This guitar came to Butler Music directly from the folks at Michael Kelly. It was a sample instrument that spent several years in their warehouse before being sold to us as B-stock.

Our technician went over it from top to bottom. It is in like-new overall condition apart from a couple of minor scratches from handling. These cosmetic imperfections make this an appealing opportunity to get a versatile, distinctive guitar at a B-stock price.

Description

Rich electric tones, acoustic-style sounds, and striking ziricote looks—all in one versatile instrument! This Michael Kelly Hybrid Special gives you the freedom to change sounds without changing guitars.

The ziricote top provides distinctive wood grain, complemented by a chambered mahogany body and set mahogany neck. Its Modern C neck profile, pau ferro fingerboard, and 24.75-inch scale offer a comfortable platform for chords, lead lines, and extended playing sessions.

Two Rockfield SWC humbuckers with push-pull coil splitting deliver a broad range of electric sounds. Add the Fishman undersaddle pickup and Powerchip system, and you can select electric tones, acoustic-style tones, or a blend of both.

Use a standard guitar cable for a single amplifier connection, or an optional compatible Y-cable to send the electric and acoustic signals to separate amps or channels. It’s a practical way to cover an acoustic-style verse and an electric chorus with one guitar.
