How's it going! you're looking at a 1995 Mosrite Mark V "Excellent Series" Red Electric Guitar W/ Built-In Amp!

Made in Japan in 1995, this rare and highly collectible Mosrite Mark V Excellent Series Guitar was meticulously crafted by the revered Kurokumo factory (Serial #7635). This compact instrument perfectly captures the iconic 1960s surf-rock aesthetic, featuring a striking Candy Apple Red finish, the classic asymmetrical double-cutaway body with a distinct German carve edge, and the legendary "M" notch headstock. Designed for ultimate portability without sacrificing authentic tone, it comes equipped with a built-in amplifier speaker grill integrated directly into the lower bout, alongside an onboard distortion circuit powered by a 9V battery. In the hand, this guitar immediately stands out due to Mosrite’s legendary, ultra-slender neck profile. The neck is incredibly thin from front to back, offering a fast, effortless grip that accommodates quick hand movements up and down the fretboard. Because it is a short-scale model, the frets are spaced slightly closer together, making complex chord shapes and sweeping leads feel highly accessible. Playability is exceptionally smooth thanks to the vintage-style, low-profile frets and the integrated zero-fret design, which keeps the string action uniform and impressively low across the dark rosewood fingerboard. Plugged into a traditional amplifier, this guitar delivers the classic, high-output punch that defined the 1960s surf-rock movement. The proprietary single-coil pickups punch through the mix with a bright, biting treble and a snappy, percussive midrange that loves clean reverb and spring delay. When utilizing the portable setup, the built-in amplifier speaker produces a surprisingly gritty, lo-fi charm. Activating the onboard distortion circuit transforms the tone into a fuzzy, saturated growl reminiscent of classic garage rock, allowing you to jam anywhere with a distinct vintage attitude.

Cosmetically, this guitar is in great used condition showing very little playwear from previous use aside from two very minor dents above the built in amp and to the left of the top of the tail piece. Please refer to the photos provided for the most accurate representation of its physical condition. All of the electronics are in working order including the built in amp, and the neck is straight. The intonation is spot on, the action is excellent and there is little to no fret wear apparent from previous use. This guitar has been professionally set up with new strings and weighs in at a comfortable 6 pounds, 11 ounces. This guitar comes with a padded gig bag and is ready to be enjoyed by its next owner for years to come! Don't miss out on the opportunity to own this 1995 Mosrite Mark V guitar!!!
