“Ibanez” has released the “Ultimate Ergonomic Headless Bass.”

It features a short multi-scale design: 32 inches on the 5th string side and 30 inches on the 1st string side!

This model embodies the perfect balance between compactness and sound.

~From the manufacturer's website below~

■Ergonomic Body Design

The EHB body design is based on ergonomics to ensure the instrument fits the player perfectly, whether playing standing or seated.

The horn is shaped to balance the body and neck while standing and to provide a comfortable grip, while the body curve on the high-string side is designed with a particular emphasis on fit and balance when playing seated.

The area of the body surface where the elbow rests features a contoured slope. Additionally, all body edges that come into contact with the body are finished with smooth, rounded corners.

■Slanted Body Back

The back of the body features a bold cut that tapers toward the low strings. This design enhances the fit during seated playing and takes into account the angle at which the player views the fingerboard inlays.

Furthermore, to facilitate access to the high-fret areas, the back of the horn on the treble side is cut in a scooped shape.

■Chambered Body

The body features chambering to allow for a more intuitive sense of its resonance.

By directly experiencing the vibrations inside the body—much like a hollow-body guitar—the player can better recognize the sound they are producing. This design also results in a slight reduction in weight.

■9-piece Panga Panga/Walnut neck with graphite reinforcement rods

We’ve adopted a 9-piece neck combining Panga Panga and walnut.

Both are hardwoods that facilitate a clear sound image and are characterized by a crisp, well-defined tone.

■Nordstrand? Custom Big Split Pickup

It is equipped with a Nordstrand? Big Split custom pickup.

This split pickup features a sweet tone and a rich low end. It naturally covers everything from sounds ideal for bass lines to funky slap sounds.

■Vari-Mid 3-Band EQ w/EQ bypass switch

As the abbreviation for “Variable Frequency Control for Mid EQ” suggests, this is an EQ that offers flexible control over the midrange.

Typically, a 3-band EQ divides the frequency range into three bands—HIGH, MID, and LOW—and allows the user to boost or cut specific frequency ranges as designated by the manufacturer. However, with the Vari-Mid, the user can freely adjust the focus of the midrange.
