The mid-2000s Faded Standards have earned a massive cult following among Gibson enthusiasts due to their ultra-thin hand-rubbed satin nitrocellulose finish, un-chambered bodies, and raw, open resonance that rivals Custom Shop reissues.

Because the satin nitro finish is so thin, it allows the wood to breathe and vibrate freely—resulting in incredible sustain, punchy resonance, and a worn-in vintage feel right out of the box.

This 2005 example is in Very Good condition. As is super common with any Faded series guitar from this era, it shows some light swirling and faint handling marks on the back of the body, but it has been very well cared for overall. The neck is straight, the frets are in great shape, and it plays and sounds absolutely fantastic.
