Faithfully recreating the exquisite style of 1969, this instrument features the familiar alder body and beautifully cut maple for the neck and fingerboard.

You might find the first impression a bit unusual, likely due to the black cell block inlays.

While the logo shape, block inlays, and binding deviate slightly from the Precision Basses of that era, the specifications are truly authentic to 1969. Combined with the body color, the design showcases Dale’s harmonious sense of style.

The nut width is a relatively narrow 40 mm.

The neck—which could be described as a so-called “D-shape”—fits naturally in the hand and pairs perfectly with the 40 mm nut width. It offers a grip that even Jazz Bass players will find reassuring and comfortable to play.

While a narrower nut width tends to sacrifice the richness of the sound, this instrument is an exception.

It firmly retains the rich midrange body characteristic of a Precision Bass, with a density in the low-mid range that evokes the “slab” era of the early ’60s.

Although it was built in 2015, thanks to this relic finish, it doesn’t show noticeable signs of wear, which is a nice touch.

There is plenty of truss rod adjustment left, and the neck condition is outstanding.

While there is some inevitable twisting and warping, it remains in excellent condition.

Judging by the neck’s grain pattern, it appears the wood was carefully selected to balance string tension, so you can truly appreciate Dale’s craftsmanship.

Since it’s straight-grained, you can be confident in its strength and stability against warping. Absolutely no complaints.

About 70% of the fret life remains, so it can still be used for quite some time.
