Fender California Deluxe Monterey E Acoustic-electric Guitar - Black

Serial Number: IOZE26002557

A California Classic Enhanced with Deluxe-series Upgrades
Fender's California Deluxe Monterey E is an accessible acoustic-electric that punches well above its weight in tone and playability. The key to this acoustic’s voice is its solid Sitka spruce top — a premium upgrade over the Standard Monterey — which delivers a richer, more responsive sound with enhanced projection. Complete with scalloped X-bracing and time-honored mahogany back and sides, the California Deluxe Monterey E delivers the versatility of a classic folk-style body with a warm, balanced timbre. Plus, the Slim C mahogany neck, 12-inch-radius walnut fingerboard, and thin 1.6875-inch nut width offer a familiar feel for musicians accustomed to the faster feel of an electric guitar. You also get a Fishman CD-1 preamp with a handy onboard tuner. It all adds up to a stage-ready guitar that accommodates fingerpicking and flatpicking equally well, making it an excellent choice for recording musicians or for advancing guitarists still developing their signature style.

Premium solid Sitka spruce top

From learning your first chords to your debut performance onstage, Fender’s California Deluxe Series provides players with an accessible entry point to premium tone. Each instrument in the series boasts a solid wood top. Compared to an instrument with a laminate top, a guitar such as this California Deluxe Monterey will exhibit greater responsiveness and a deeper, more harmonically rich voice. This California Deluxe Monterey boasts a solid Sitka spruce top — a tonewood renowned for its sweet sound and versatile range — framed with scalloped X-bracing to maximize the top’s vibration and deliver superior low-end potential.

Engineered for electric-like playability

Regardless of your style or skill level, Fender’s Slim C mahogany neck delivers optimal playing comfort. This fast-playing profile clocks in just a tad thinner than your typical acoustic guitar C profile, with a slender 1.6875-inch nut width, making for a smooth transition for guitarists who primarily play electric. Factor in the neck’s slick satin finish and 12-inch-radius walnut fingerboard, and you have a neck that provides top-level playability, no matter where your music takes you.

Performance-ready Fishman electronics

You'll find a Fishman electronics system ready to go on the California Deluxe Monterey E. This system provides impeccable tone, along with a 2-band EQ and phase control for final sound shaping. What's more, the onboard tuner ensures your California Deluxe Monterey E acoustic-electric guitar is always ready to hit the stage.
