Vintage 1966 Mosrite "The Ventures" Mark V Sunburst Electric Guitar W/ OHSC

How's it going! You're looking at a Vintage 1966 Mosrite "The Ventures" Mark V Sunburst Electric Guitar W/ OHSC!

Made in 1966 in Bakersfield, California, this stunning, 100% original Mosrite "The Ventures" Mark V electric guitar features its classic 3-tone sunburst finish. Handcrafted during the golden era of Semie Moseley’s legendary production, this instrument stands as the ultimate cornerstone of the 1960s surf rock sound. In the hand, the neck feels incredibly fast and uniquely slim, featuring an ultra-thin profile that comfortably wraps into your palm for effortless fretting. It plays like lightning; the combination of Mosrite's signature low-profile "speed frets" and a dedicated zero fret creates exceptionally low, buzz-free action that makes chords feel effortless and lead runs remarkably fluid. When plugged in, the guitar sounds remarkably punchy and articulate. The original high-output single-coil pickups deliver a brilliant, microphonic jangle with a biting treble snap that cuts perfectly through a mix, while still retaining a warm, woody mid-range punch. It produces that quintessential, dripping-wet spring reverb surf tone that defined an entire era of rock and roll. Cosmetically, this guitar shows beautiful, honest age-related wear in the finish—including natural lacquer checking—and a gorgeous, authentic vintage yellowing of the pickguard that highlights its 60-year history. The body and neck also show some minor dents and playwear from decades of appreciation. Please refer to the photos provided for the most accurate representation of its physical condition. The neck has a slight tilt to it where the fretboard under the high E string is slightly higher than the low E string. Despite this minor structural quirk, the guitar still plays fantastically and it does not negatively impact playability. All of the electronics are in perfect working order, the intonation is great, and the action is excellent. There is some minor fret wear apparent on the top few frets, but this does not impact playability. This guitar has been professionally set up with new strings and weighs in at a comfortable 7 pounds, 6 ounces. This guitar comes with its original hard shell case and is ready to plug in and play! don't miss out on the opportunity to own this 1966 Mosrite "The Ventures" Mark V electric guitar!!!
