Made in 2013. The American Vintage guitars of this era are so good; many people consider them to rival Fender Custom Shop Jaguars. This is based on a 1965 Jaguar with bound neck and dot inlays, medium C neck profile. This guitar is equipped with Curtis Novak’s amazing pickups.

This Jaguar has never been abused but is showing some signs of play and aging at 13 years old. The American Vintage guitars are known for having a very thin and somewhat delicate nitro finish. I tried to capture numerous areas of fine checking as well as small scratches and dings. The nitro is also yellowing some. There are parts of the guitar that are becoming slightly green where it is blue and the binding has yellowed a little. This fine instrument is aging gracefully!

The playability is great. The upper switch can be fussy. It may take a few attempts to get it in a position where there is a strong signal. I have navigated this for years but if I gigged the guitar, I would inspect and possibly replace it for something that worked reliably.
