Gibson Custom Shop '61 ES-335 Murphy Lab Heavy Aged Antique White #150562

A 1961 ES-335 in Antique White, given the Heavy Aged treatment in the Murphy Lab. Heavy Aged is the grade that reads as decades of real playing rather than a light checking pass, and on a white finish it does something the cherry and burst versions cannot: the lacquer has yellowed unevenly across the top, so the colour sitting in front of you is warmer and more variable than the one that left the paint booth.

Rounded cutaways, the Authentic '61 Skinny C neck, dot inlays and vintage-replica parts throughout. Unpotted Custombucker Alnico 3s in both positions, paper-in-oil capacitors, CTS 500K audio taper pots. Three-ply maple/poplar/maple body with a solid maple centreblock and no weight relief.
