Up for sale, a 1995 Gibson Custom Shop Historic ‘57 Les Paul Custom "Black Beauty" in excellent, 100% original condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original hardshell case and hangtags. Officially known as the "LPB7" model, this elegant and vintage-accurate Custom Shop Les Paul hails from what is increasingly known as the "good wood era," boasting a mahogany carved top as well as a mahogany body and a one-piece mahogany neck with an ebony fingerboard.

Weighing 9lbs 14oz, this Les Paul delivers a lively, powerful acoustic voice that translates well through the pair of '57 Classic PAF humbuckers. These pickups produce a range of tones from snarling, harmonic rich power in the bridge position, to more mellow and wooly tones at the neck. The tone stays defined and warm in all positions, and the mahogany top adds to the uniqueness of the sonic range on tap. This Custom Shop Historic ‘57 Les Paul Custom has been professionally set up here at Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.

The gloss Ebony nitro lacquer finish has two small spots of rack rash with limited touch-up on the lower bout perimeter, light buckle scuffing on the back, and some minor dings and finish scratches on the body as a whole. The nitro gloss on the neck profile has one area of touch-up beneath frets 9 and 10 (also rack rash-related), smooth and clean in the palm.
