Gibson SG 2013 - Cherry

Selling a 2013 Gibson SGJ in Worn Cherry. This is a great example of a no-nonsense Gibson SG, thoughtfully upgraded with quality components.

The original Gibson quick-connect wiring has been replaced with professionally installed custom wiring using CTS 525K pots and ERO .022 capacitors. The bridge pickup has also been upgraded to a Seymour Duncan JB, giving the guitar considerably more versatility and a classic hot-rodded humbucker sound while retaining the character of the SG. The tuners have been replaced with new Grover Deluxe Vintage tuners, and the guitar is currently strung with Elixir Medium strings. The neck is straight and plays very comfortably.

Overall, this is a very functional, comfortable and gig-ready SG that feels like a player's instrument rather than a collector piece. Cosmetically, there is some wear consistent with the Worn Cherry finish and the guitar's age/use. Nothing about the condition affects its playability, and the finish suits the SGJ's understated, workhorse character.
