Larrivee OMV-40 Solid Spruce Mahogany Legacy Guitar

Larrivée OMV-40 Solid Spruce Mahogany Legacy Guitar

The OMV-40 is a workhorse dreadnought built around warm, balanced tone and unrestricted playability. Its solid Sitka spruce top paired with mahogany back and sides delivers rich midrange warmth, clear trebles, and punchy lows that cut through without sounding thin—equally at home in the studio, on stage, or in daily practice. This is an instrument that rewards both delicate touch and confident aggression, built for players who value musicality and durability in equal measure.

Tone & Construction

A scalloped hybrid bracing pattern maximizes responsiveness and sustain, allowing the OMV-40 to settle naturally across its range as it ages. The solid construction and thoughtful internal geometry make this guitar responsive to subtle playing dynamics while maintaining projection that doesn't require excessive volume.

Playability & Ergonomics

The 25.5" scale length and 1-3/4" nut width settle comfortably in hand, while the 14th fret neck join and 4.25" body depth grant unrestricted upper-register access without sacrificing projection or ergonomic positioning. A 16" fretboard radius and ebony fingerboard support fingerpicking precision and full-chord expressiveness, while a bone nut and compensated bone saddle with 2-1/4" spacing optimize intonation and playability across the neck.
