Up for sale is a 1988 PRS Studio in Electric Blue, a genuinely rare guitar from PRS's early Annapolis years.

Why it's rare: In 1988, PRS built only about 1,900 guitars total, and the Studio accounted for a small fraction of that. The Studio was offered as a regular production model only from 1988 to 1991; after that it was available solely as a customer-order option through 1998. At the time of listing, there are no other examples of this model on Reverb, and I haven't found any for sale elsewhere online.

Originality: Everything is original except the strap buttons.

Condition: This guitar was a "case queen" before I bought it at the end of 2023, and I've barely played it since, so there's plenty of fret life left. It has lived in my smoke-free home the whole time I've owned it. Cosmetically, there's one ding/paint chip on the back and some very light scratches on the back, both shown in the photos (I would have listed condition as 'excellent' if the chip were not present). The case shows definite wear, also documented in the photos. Please review all pictures closely.
