Up for sale is a beautiful 1999 Gibson ES-335 Dot with a highly figured top and back in a classic sunburst finish. This is a particularly attractive example, with strong flame figuring across both the front and back that really comes alive from different angles.

The guitar is bone stock and features its original pair of Gibson ’57 Classic humbuckers. Everything remains as it left the factory, with no modifications or replaced parts that we are aware of.

Condition-wise, this guitar is in excellent condition and has clearly been very well cared for over the past 25+ years. There is some general light swirling and surface scratching in the clear coat from normal handling and cleaning, along with some light pick scratching on the pickguard. There are also a few small marks (tiny dings and scratches) consistent with careful use and age, all of which can be seen in the photos. Just to state the obvious, there are no cracks, breaks or repairs. The frets are exceptionally clean with no discernible wear to speak of and appear to retain essentially all of their original factory height.

The neck has a comfortable profile measuring approximately .800” at the 1st fret and .890” at the 12th fret, with a 1.69” nut width. The guitar weighs 8 lbs 11.0 oz.

This was recently given a pro setup with a set of 10–46 gauge strings so it plays amazingly with a straight neck, low action, and accurate intonation.

The guitar comes with the pictured non-original SKB molded hardshell case and key.
