Telefunken 25th Anniversary Edition M80 Dynamic Microphone

Telefunken 25th Anniversary Edition M80 Dynamic Microphone
To commemorate 25 years of craftsmanship and innovation, TELEFUNKEN Elektroakustik has introduced a special limited-edition Custom Shop 25th Anniversary Edition M80 Dynamic microphone. Produced in a strictly limited run of just 100 units worldwide, this milestone release is designed for both collectors and working engineers who appreciate the legacy, precision, and continued dedication to world-class audio tools that define the TELEFUNKEN name. Each unit features a unique serialized badge, making every microphone a one-of-a-kind piece of audio history.

A classic aesthetic reborn
The anniversary edition M80 showcases an iconic "Vintage Green" finish inspired by the legendary ELA M 251E, one of the most celebrated condenser microphones ever produced. This carefully chosen colorway bridges decades of audio heritage with the rugged, performance-driven character of the M80 platform. The engraved 25th Anniversary logo further distinguishes this edition, giving it a look that honors TELEFUNKEN's storied past while remaining unmistakably modern. It is a visual statement as much as it is an acoustic instrument — a microphone that commands attention on stage and in the studio alike.
Performance built for stage and studio
Beneath its striking exterior, the 25th Anniversary M80 delivers the same technical performance that has made the M80 a trusted tool on stages around the world. The 25mm dynamic moving coil capsule paired with TELEFUNKEN's proprietary T80 transformer produces a condenser-like high frequency extension that cuts through even the densest mixes. With a frequency range of 50 Hz to 18 kHz and a maximum SPL handling of 135 dB, this microphone is equally capable of capturing delicate nuance and withstanding the punishment of high-volume live performance. Its supercardioid polar pattern provides excellent feedback rejection, making it a reliable choice in demanding live environments.
American craftsmanship, limited availability
Every 25th Anniversary Edition M80 is designed and hand assembled in the USA, reflecting TELEFUNKEN Elektroakustik's commitment to quality at every stage of production. With only 100 units available globally, availability is strictly limited, and each microphone ships with a serialized badge that marks its place in this exclusive run. Whether destined for a professional touring rig, a high-end recording studio, or a collector's display, the 25th Anniversary M80 represents a rare convergence of heritage design and uncompromising technical achievement. It is both a functional tool and a lasting tribute to 25 years of TELEFUNKEN excellence.
Why We Love This
Our gear experts appreciate the 25th Anniversary M80 for delivering studio-quality performance in the unforgiving reality of live touring. Its condenser-like high frequency extension brings out vocal presence and detail that cuts through loud stage environments, while the supercardioid polar pattern keeps feedback under control. With a maximum SPL of 135 dB and the reliability of hand-assembled American construction, it handles everything from intimate acoustic sets to high-volume rock stages — consistently, night after night.
