The Sontronics DRUMPACK: Professional Drum Miking Made Simple
The Sontronics DRUMPACK is a five-piece condenser microphone set designed from the ground up to deliver exceptional results from drum kits. Whether you're tracking in a professional studio or capturing a live performance on stage, the DRUMPACK provides everything a drummer or engineer needs to mic up a full kit with confidence. It represents one of the most straightforward and cost-effective routes into professional-grade drum recording available today, combining purpose-built microphones with practical accessories in a single, ready-to-go package.

Purpose-Built DM-Series Microphones
At the heart of the DRUMPACK are Sontronics' own DM-series condenser microphones, each engineered with a specific drum in mind. The DM-1B handles kick drum duties, built to capture the punch, depth and low-end thump that defines a great kick sound. The DM-1S is optimised for snare, delivering the snap and crack that cuts through a mix. Rounding out the set are three DM-1T microphones, one for each tom, ensuring every drum in the kit is covered with a microphone tailored to its unique sonic character. Because each mic in the DM series has been voiced specifically for its intended drum, you get results that generic all-purpose microphones simply cannot match.
A Complete, Studio-Ready Kit
The DRUMPACK is designed to be picked up and used immediately, without the need to source additional components. Alongside the five microphones, the pack includes four mic clips sized and shaped for the DM-1S and the three DM-1T mics, so mounting them to the kit is quick and hassle-free. Everything is housed in a rugged ABS flight case purpose-built to protect the contents whether you're loading into a venue or stacking gear in a studio locker. The case keeps all five microphones and their accessories organised and secure, meaning you're always ready to set up and get recording without hunting for missing pieces.
Exceptional Value for Drummers and Engineers
One of the most compelling aspects of the DRUMPACK is the saving it offers over purchasing each microphone individually. Buying the DM-1B, DM-1S and three DM-1T mics as separate items would cost considerably more, making the DRUMPACK an intelligent investment for drummers wanting to own their own mic set, for engineers building out their kit locker, or for studios looking to add a dedicated drum mic solution without overspending. Sontronics has brought together everything needed for mind-blowing drum recordings into one cohesive, professionally specified package that punches well above its price point.
Why We Love This
Our gear experts love the DRUMPACK because it removes every barrier between them and a great drum sound. Rather than piecing together a mismatched collection of general-purpose mics, drummers and engineers get five condensers each voiced specifically for its drum — kick, snare and toms all covered. The included clips and rugged flight case mean setup is fast and gear stays protected. It's a complete, professional solution that simply works, night after night, session after session.
