The Samuel Eastman VC80 is a full-size (4/4) student cello designed for advancing students, school orchestra programs, and entry-level players. It features a fully carved solid spruce top, laminated maple back and sides, solid maple neck, genuine ebony fingerboard and pegs, and a composite tailpiece equipped with four integrated fine tuners.

Condition Note

The cello is in good cosmetic condition with typical light handling wear from regular student use. The finish shows scattered light scratches, small surface dings, and minor edge dents along the bouts and corners. There are no cracks, open seams, rib separations, or structural repairs. The neck, pegbox, scroll, and heel joint are completely solid and stable.

Playability & Setup: The genuine ebony tuning pegs fit firmly in the pegbox, and all four fine tuners turn smoothly for accurate tuning. The soundpost is properly seated, the maple bridge is straight with clean string notches, and the steel core strings are in good shape with clear acoustic response across all registers. The included horsehair bow is straight with a functional frog and tension screw.
