For sale is an MXR Jail Guitar Doors Drive JGD1, from the limited run of only 500 pedals.

This particular pedal is number 262/500 and comes with the matching Certificate of Authenticity.

The pedal is in perfect working condition and excellent cosmetic condition.

Included are the original box, Certificate of Authenticity, quick guide, MXR sticker and original inserts.

The Jail Guitar Doors Drive was created as a tribute to Wayne Kramer and the raw guitar sound of MC5. MXR developed the pedal together with Johnny Wator of Daredevil Pedals, combining elements of Wator’s Drive-Bi Dual Gain Distortion with an MXR Micro Amp-style gain stage.

The result is a raw, punchy and harmonically rich drive pedal with a very direct feel. Its single control simultaneously affects output and gain, pushing the second gain stage harder as it is turned up. The range goes from a strong boost and gritty overdrive to dense, aggressive distortion.

The pedal also features artwork by renowned street artist Shepard Fairey, making this a particularly interesting piece for collectors as well as players.
