One of the Rook’s standout features is its 2-band Baxandall EQ, with independent Bass and Treble controls that can both cut and boost frequencies. This gives the Rook considerably more tone-shaping flexibility than the typical single-tone-control overdrive. You can dial in a pronounced midrange, scoop the mids, tighten the low end, add top-end presence, or tailor the pedal specifically to your guitar and amplifier.

The three-position clipping switch provides three distinctly different responses. The silicon setting delivers classic, harmonically rich overdrive; the LED setting produces a more open, raw and aggressive drive that can approach distortion; and the center position removes the clipping diodes for a louder, cleaner and less compressed sound that works especially well as a tone-shaping boost.

With Gain, Bass, Treble, and Volume controls, the Rook can easily move from subtle enhancement to thick lead tones while remaining responsive to your picking dynamics.
