Project guitar. Had it strung up and playing at one point but there are items to address here.
Cons: One of the humbuckers has come loose and needs to be adhered to its plate again (hot glue?). The other pickup has a cracked ring. Tuners function but need a little oil probably. Some of the bridge saddles are a little wobbly. No knobs on the pots. No tip on selector switch. Someone drew something on the back of the body and wrote their name. Also they drew something on the headstock which turned into kind of a blob. Missing bottom strap button.
Pros: Body and neck are pretty nice and there’s lots of neat wood grain. I like the look of the guitar a lot and the pick guard is also pretty cool and in good shape. Could be a nice base for swapping in some dimarzios and a wraparound bridge or something.
About the guitar: All I could find about this company is that they have been building acoustics since 1972 out of Korea. I’m not 100% sure if this was made by that Sungeum, but it’s my best guess. As to its age, I never opened it up to see if the pots have codes or if there’s anything handwritten so I really have no idea.
Comes with a gig bag that looks really cool but functions really poorly. You’ll see what I mean.
Ships with bridge and tailpiece removed and a piece of painters tape to keep the pickup from falling out.
Local pickup in NYC is possible. Please arrange for this by messaging me beforehand.
Thanks!
