Takamine GJ72CE-12BSB G-Series G70 12-String Acoustic Guitar in Brown Sunburst
The GJ72CE-12BSB is a jumbo cutaway 12-string built for players who need both reach and playability without sacrificing tone. The solid spruce top paired with flame maple back and sides delivers the warm, complex resonance that 12-strings demand, while the cutaway design and manageable body depth make extended passages and upper-fret work genuinely accessible. Brown sunburst finish ages beautifully, developing character that reflects years of use.
Construction & Tone
Solid spruce top with flame maple back and sides, reinforced by quartersawn "X" bracing, creates a balanced harmonic response ideal for both strumming and fingerstyle work across all 12 strings. The maple set neck and rosewood fretboard with 12" radius provide stability and smooth action, while the 25.4" scale length ensures proper string tension and intonation across the extended range of a 12-string configuration.
Electronics & Playability
The integrated TK40D preamp includes onboard tuner, 3-band EQ, mid-contour, notch filter, and EQ bypass—giving you precise tonal shaping whether plugged in or acoustic. Gold die-cast tuners with pearl buttons and the 1.875" nut width provide reliable tuning stability and comfortable fretting hand positioning across the wider string array.
