The Marantz 2225 is uniquely known for its transition to the dual rail, direct coupled design, rather than the older capacitor-coupled circuits as the 2230 boasted. This shift provided superior woofer control, greater punch than its wpc rating and far more "soundstage" imaging continuing with the warm Marantz sound the 2200 series has been known for. Fully rebuilt power supply: Nichicon UPW/UKL, OnSemi diode and transistors, Vishay wire wound and metal film resistors

Amplifier board: B Nichicon UFW, UKT and Ekna Cerafine resistors adjusted to 35V replaced differential pair resistors, upgraded mica thermal pads to silicone and adjusted bias to 20mV and DC offset to 0mV

Main filter capacitors upgraded to Nichicon LGU 8200uF/80V, cleaned and pots and switches and new power switch and snubber capacitor,

Tone controls and board cleaned and recapped with Nichicon UFW and Elna Cerafine electrolytics and Panasonic ECE film capacitors

FM/MPX board recapped with Elna Silmic II and NichiconMuse BP, Fine Gold and Elna Cerafine

Replaced input film caps with Panasonic EEC.

Tuner aligned and dial pointer and all lights replaced
