Vintage The Fogware Alto Saxophone – Made for Boosey & Hawkes – Serial #57858

Offered here is an interesting vintage alto saxophone marked “THE FOGWARE – MADE FOR Boosey & Hawkes”, serial number 57858.

The saxophone has a great vintage appearance with an aged brass/lacquer finish and attractive engraved decoration on the bell. It features mother-of-pearl style key touches and vintage-style keywork.

This instrument shows considerable age and use, including finish wear, lacquer loss, oxidation/patina, scratches, marks and general cosmetic wear throughout. Please examine all photos carefully for the exact condition.

The neck has red tape around a section near the mouthpiece end, as clearly shown in the photographs. Pads and mechanical components show age, and we have not professionally serviced or play-tested the instrument. Because of its age and unknown service history, it should be expected to require adjustment, servicing and/or repair before regular playing use.

Includes the vintage hard case, mouthpiece, ligature and other accessories pictured. The case is in heavily worn vintage condition with substantial exterior and interior wear.
